In 2016 I purchased a Ferrari Mondial, which upon closer inspection appeared to be more special than thought !

During the weekend of June 16/17th 2018, Red Bay organised the Ferrari Classics Weekend with on Sunday a visit to SpaItalia. Goldfinger drove on the circuit and ran well during the weekend! Lots of pictures were taken by a large audience!
In the beginning of June 2018, 8 injectors, the clutch slave cylinder and the crankshaft gasket were replaced. This made the engine run much smoother and stopped an oil leak at the exit of the crankshaft. This was done by Officina Valenti.
Some weeks later, the hydraulic hose to the slave cylinder was also replaced because of a leak. Now, the engine runs fantastic and there are no more oil or hydraulic oil leaks!
The interior (front seats and all parts of the centre console) have been re-dyed in beige Ferrari color. The result is fantastic!
Although the Belgian weather is just awful and it rains every day, I still managed to get outside for a minute and take some shots.
It looks great on the pictures, but believe me, it looks even more awesome live! The color is very deep and you have to see it to believe your eyes. This is truly one of the most magnificent Mondials ever!
The car is currently in the workshop of Officina Valenti where the last actions are performed before having it checked by the Belgian MOT:
– Replacing the handbrake cable between the RH and LH rear wheels
– Balancing the headlights
– Balancing the brakes (if necessary)
– Verifying suspension (revised, but you never know 🙂
– Fine-tuning the engine
Apart from that, the water pump has also been replaced because the old one was making a lot of noise.
– Main switch on the steering wheel is cleansed and lights, blinkers and window wipers working well again
– Last shields in the front wheel wells installed
– Attached rubbers underneath the doors like the original ones
– Replaced the worn out spare wheel belt with a new one
The past 2 weeks, I refitted the interior, revised the door locks and window mechanisms and remounted a number of other smaller parts. Everything works very smoothly and even the windows go up and down much faster than before!
